In October 2013 OneShift secured a $5M investment round from recruitment platform, Programmed.

This is how we helped them do it

The Client

GEN GEORGE, CEO OF ONESHIFT

When we first met Gen, we knew she was no ordinary client. She had already attempted to launch a small sign-up-only beta of her product on wordpress and collected around 3,000 user emails. The product wasn't functional and only collected emails, but it proved her point - she had discovered a potential market.

She knew the next step was to rapidly build a functional version of the product, but her experiment allowed us to launch with an immediate influx of about 1,300 users.

The project

Gen already had a logo, which informed some of the look and feel she was going for.

Gen wanted to forge a new kind of service in the employment space, specifically connecting job seekers and employers looking for short term work. She already had a logo she had purchased, which informed some of the look and feel she was going for.

As the oneshift prototype was public, we had limited time to build a working beta. We cut down her features to a minimum viable product and had it launched within three weeks.
