When we first met Gen, we knew she was no ordinary client. She had already attempted to launch a small sign-up-only beta of her product on wordpress and collected around 3,000 user emails. The product wasn't functional and only collected emails, but it proved her point - she had discovered a potential market.
She knew the next step was to rapidly build a functional version of the product, but her experiment allowed us to launch with an immediate influx of about 1,300 users.
Gen wanted to forge a new kind of service in the employment space, specifically connecting job seekers and employers looking for short term work. She already had a logo she had purchased, which informed some of the look and feel she was going for.
As the oneshift prototype was public, we had limited time to build a working beta. We cut down her features to a minimum viable product and had it launched within three weeks.
